This Entryway Bench design is inspired by the Telephone Table or Gossip Bench designs of the 1930s -1950s to create a piece that provides functionality in modern day interior spaces.

Table top & Seat surface - Solid Walnut Hardwood (3/4" thick)
Wood is finished with several treatments Natural Tung Oil which is Non-Toxic, and FDA approved for food safety.
Frame/Structure - Tube Steel (0.72" gauge)
Steel has a glossy clearcoat finish for corrosion protection (interior use only)
Side Shelf - Steel sheet (14 gauge)
Shelf is painted and clearcoated - (reversible colors)

Welded steel frame construction built to last for generations
34" Long bench seat area at that is a comfortable height of 17" from the floor
Lower rack runs the full length of the unit and makes for a great place to neatly store up to 5 pair of shoes or other accessories
Side table surface is great for accomdating a small lamp, potted plants, flower vases, ancient rotary telephones etc.
Recessed shelf is perfect for keeping books, magazines, hats, gloves, wallet, keys, cell phone etc. *Shelf is also easily removable (secured with 4 small, powerful magnets) for cleaning or flipping over to reveal an optional accent color to compliment the mood of your space

Recessed steel shelf can be provided in different paint colors, replaced with wood or even powdercoated to suit your desired look. However the reversible green/blue sheet steel shelf in the pics is ready to go now
This frame has a glossy clear coat application over bright (pickled & oiled), raw steel tube. However we can usually source naturally darker steel, offer a sanded finish, or even powdercoated colored finishes.
